Understanding Your Commitment(s) To Us:
1) We know you are nice people and so are we. No doubt all of us would like to avoid any misunderstandings, so here are some quite simple things that we need to point out about our services to you...
If you don't understand or agree with something, let us know. This is not meant to be scary legal detail, more like an understanding:
So. You agree to:
- Pay a non-refundable deposit of 30% in advance (preferably by bank transfer) to secure your booking.
- Pay the remaining outstanding balance in full no later than 2 weeks prior to the event.
- Confirm the date, location and format for the event no later than 4 weeks in advance.
- Keep in touch with us regularly to ensure we are made aware of any changes that may affect our performance arrangements.
2) If you need to cancel, the following fees / terms may be applicable (any changes to the following will be applied at our sole discretion):
- You can cancel your booking at anytime (but we'd prefer you didn't!), in writing, giving the reason for the cancellation;
- We request as much advance notice as possible so that we may announce our re-availability for other opportunities;
- Cancellations made by you anytime on or up to 14 days prior to the event date will incur a full refund to you.
- Cancellations made by you on or up to 7 days prior to the event will incur the loss of 50% of the deposit.
- Cancellations made by you within 7 days of the event will incur the loss of 100% of the deposit.
In all cancellation situations, you agree to reimburse us for any genuine expense(s) that we may have incurred on your behalf (e.g. hireage of equipment, transportation & / or accommodation booking costs etc).
3) Re-scheduling of your booking is preferable to a cancellation, of course. However you agree to reimburse us for any genuine expense that we have incurred on your behalf (e.g. hireage of equipment, transportation costs etc).
Understanding Our Commitment(s) To You:
1) Yes, we are nice people. There are some important points that you need to be aware of. Although most unlikely, certain circumstances 'outside' of our control could result in us having to cancel or abandon our performance. Obviously, we would be in close communication with you if this occurred. Here are some examples of issues that could arise:
- Failure of transportation, including traffic accident, mechanical breakdown, delays, public transport delays, flight delays etc...
- Lack of electrical power at the venue.
- Equipment failure.
- Safety reasons, (e.g. fire, theft, floods, crowd control, disasters etc.)
- Sickness, illness, injury (we may substitute performers where possible)
- To comply with law & order and / or the venue managements policies (e.g time / noise restrictions)
- Any other event outside of our control (e.g. wild weather).
2) We aim to provide the service(s) that we have agreed in advance with you, to the best of our ability and in a professional manner. We really do want you to be delighted with our services - because our reputation depends upon it! If something did force a cancellation on our part, or if for any reason you were not satisfied with our service(s), we would certainly want to reach agreement regarding a refund (up to the limit of the payment already received from you).
The above are "just in case" scenarios. If you are unsure about any of this, or you would like to discuss this with us before you make a commitment, please contact us. We really are nice folks!!
